“Quartermaster Blueprints File”
1884-1914 The collection consists of paper copies of 72 maps, the originals of which are preserved at the National Archives in College Park, Maryland, as part of the blueprint files for Fort Douglas, Office of the Quartermaster General, U.S. Army, Record Group 92. The original Miscellaneous Forts File (ca. 1840-1920) includes over 7,000 plans of military posts,
mainly in the western U.S. These maps were initially compiled by the post quartermaster at each post and forwarded to the Office of the Quartermaster General in Washington, D.C. Later, responsibility for the construction
