Creepy Crawlies at Fort Douglas

This exhibit features a collection of "creepy crawlies" that can be found at and around Fort Douglas. This exhibit was produced in collaboration with "Nature All Around Us" at the NHMU.

From the Home Front to the Battle Front and Back Again
Come check out our World War II Parachute and D-Day Display.  Travel back in time and see what soldiers were wearing that fateful day in Europe and the Pacific.  Witness the ingenuity of women at home in Utah, as you see wedding dresses and quilts, and even clothes made out of parachutes produced in the Manti Factory.
Come view our Sweethearts Display!  These items were used or worn by the women at home during wartime.  We have a wide range of sweetheart gifts from the Almond and Fort Douglas Military Museum Collections, such as pillowcases, pins, earrings, cosmetic cases, and handkerchiefs.
